WHERE ARE WE LOCATED

M&M is situated in Sunningdale opposite the Table Bay Mall offering easy access by public transport from all areas as well as plenty of secure parking.

DO I NEED A MATRIC CERTIFICATE TO APPLY AT M&M?

No, but we are interested in students who have a passion for what we offer. Prospective students will do an audition to determine the level at which you will start.

HOW CAN I APPLY TO M&M?

WHAT ARE THE AUDITION REQUIREMENTS?

After an initial meeting with parents and students, M&M will email you the necessary requirements to prepare for an audition.

HOW MUCH ARE THE FEES?

M&M is a private training institution and fees vary according to your course. You can request your part-time or full-time fees from admin@mmma.co.za

DO WE OFFER BURSARIES?

M&M is associated with South Africa’s largest student finance facilitation service, Student Hero https://www.studenthero.co.za/ , which partners with various funding providers in order to assist with financing your education. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL I GRADUATE WITH?

M&M offers a range of international qualifications awarded by RSL UK from Certificate to Diploma at an RQF 3 level as either a music practitioner or Performing Arts. Students can also obtain an academic certificate through GED USA. The vocational music and performing arts qualifications are accredited RSL UK and OFQUAL UK which is an internationally recognised Diploma.*

*Please note: These international qualifications are not currently recognised by SAQA. These qualifications are internationally registered by OFQUAL and sit at RQF3 level within the international qualifications framework.

 

All M&M’s qualifications, which includes but are not limited to Graded Music Exams, Performance Diplomas, Vocational Qualifications (VQ), are internationally accredited and recognized qualifications through our independent regulated awarding organisations in the United Kingdom, regulated in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. M&M is not registered with the Department of Education in Southern African as our RSL qualifications are not accredited or regulated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) – M&M’s qualifications are registered, accredited and regulated through our awarding organisations on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF Level 3) in the United Kingdom, regulated by Ofqual (The Office for Qualifications and Examination Regulations) for compliance and quality control. All our international qualifications are accepted worldwide through various awarding bodies including SAQA as a foreign qualification.

M&M SHORT COURSES?

Our unaccredited, Certificate and Extended Certificate qualifications are regarded as our short courses which are one year in duration.

PART-TIME CLASSES?

M&M offers a variety of part-time classes for students wanting to learn an instrument/vocals/dance or production. These classes are also available at an additional fee for our full-time students if they require extra class work.

CAN I WORK PROFESSIONALLY WHILST STUDYING AT M&M?

We encourage students to participate in the industry while studying at M&M as long as it does not impact their training. It is important to remember that studying at M&M is a collaboration with other students. If you miss class it not only affects you, but the other students as well. The college receives numerous requests for students to perform, these requests are vetted with the students best interest at heart. Casual work not linked to the performing arts such as hostessing and waitering etc. is permitted.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MUSIC OR PERFORMING ARTS?"

No, it is not a requirement but is preferred to allow the students the best experience at M&M. M&M will assess the level at which you are to begin training through an audition. Where you begin will be relevant to your current ability.

 

HOW IS MY TIMETABLE STRUCTURED?

M&M timetables run 5 days a week between 8am – 1pm. You attended the classes related to your qualification and instrument/vocal choice. Our academic studies take place from 1:30 – 3:30 pm 5 days a week. Students will be required to attend additional practice/concerts as required. 

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO APPLY TO STUDY AT M&M?

For our full-time college 16 years + and for our part-time college from 5 years+

CAN I SPECIALISE IN MUSIC OR PERFORMING ARTS?

Our courses are designed to allow students into the market place without any additional studies. 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BEGIN TRAINING ONCE I AM ACCEPTED?

Prospective students are provided with a list of requirements upon registration.
